At Unleashed Unlimited, we go way beyond the typical “parlor trick” style of dog training.  We view dog training as a functional skill that can be used to manage your dog, keep them safe, prevent unwanted behaviors, and make spending time with them more enjoyable!

Our programs are designed to provide real-world results that are achievable by all owners and their dogs.  Our obedience programs start with a heavy level of foundation work so that you and your dog want to enjoy the numerous dog parks, hike and bike trails, lakes, and dog-friendly restaurants and establishments that the Austin area offers.

Our programs not only teach obedience. We factor in behavioral traits, socialization, leadership, body cues, and really teach you what to communicate with your dog on a level that they will understand. If you’re looking for real-world, practical, and professional dog training in the Cedar Park, Leander, Austin, Round Rock and Georgetown area, you’ve found the best!

Oh, guess what?!  All of our obedience programs also come with a full 1 year unlimited membership to our group polishing classes.  See below for more details.

This is appointment is free of charge and is designed for dogs 16 weeks and older.  We are going to sit down, chat, do a full evaluation on your dog, and ask you a ton of questions so we can get a better understanding of their personality, previous training, sociability, problem areas, etc.

We also want to get a clear picture of the things you are needing to work on and the lifestyle that you are wanting to lead with your dog.

At that point we will go over our training approach in detail and show you one of our dogs so you can see the high level of training that you can expect from your dog.

We will then answer all of your questions, make program recommendations that are appropriate for your dog’s needs, and call it a day; no pressure!

This package is intended for dogs that are 16 weeks and older.

Our combo package starts with 5 private lessons at our training center where all of the skills are introduced to you and your dog so a solid foundation can be developed.  Working along side a trainer will allow you to get a firm understanding of timing, body language, dog behavior, and management techniques.  You and your dog will be working on the following skills:

  • Come on command (with and without distraction)
  • Sit for an extended period of time (next to you and at a distance)
  • Down for an extended period of time (next to you and at a distance)

Your dog participates in private training sessions, group classes, doggie day care (if appropriate), meet and greets with new people, walks in a neighborhood setting, and field trips to new locations during their time with us.

While staying with us, your dog will be learning the following skills but your dog’s specific behavior needs may take priority over some of these commands:

  • Come on command (with and without distraction)
  • Sit for an extended period of time (next to you and at a distance)
  • Down for an extended period of time (next to you and at a distance)
  • Loose leash walking
  • Heel
  • Place

  • Wait at the door and in car to prevent bolting
  • Basic manners (no jumping, quiet on command, counter surfing, staying off furniture, window barking, etc.
  • Working through fear issues
  • Other problem areas that are unique to your situation

When your dog finishes the boarding portion of the training package, you and your family get 3 or 5 private lessons and 1 year unlimited membership to our group polishing classes to ensure plenty of your learning opportunities on your end, and follow up to ensure a complete transition.

Although we firmly believe in obedience training your puppy as soon as possible, there are so many additional, time-sensitive skills that your puppy needs right now – all of which focus on preventing behavior issues.

You can teach your dog to come and sit at any age, the focus of our puppy training is to ensure that your puppy grows up to be the dog that you want them to become; and now is the time to get started. Puppies between the ages of 6 and 16 weeks old are at a very important time in their lives, and is a wonderful opportunity to start the learning process.

Exposing your new puppy to the correct experiences, socialization protocols, and leadership drills can help prevent problems later down the road; you only get one shot for certain things.  Our puppy programs focus on the following topics:

  • Effective Tips for Potty Training
  • Crate Training
  • Proper Handling Skills
  • Leadership Skills for Your Family
  • Fun and Appropriate Games and Toys
  • Eliminate Puppy Play Biting
  • Basic Introduction to Obedience
  • Socializing Skills and Exercises
  • Overview on Puppy Safety

There are currently two different formats for puppy training and an initial training consultation is not required for these programs.

1.  Puppy Manual  This downloadable e-book was written by Unleashed Unlimited, will give you instant access to all of the material listed above.  You can instantly read through and begin implementing the following skills right away.  This is great option for the do-it-yourselfers or those who live out of state.

2.  Private Puppy Powwow  – This is a one-time face-to face private puppy class with you and your family at our training center in Leander.  This two hour seminar will allow us to go over all of the topics above, work with you and your puppy in a hands-on setting, and answer all of your questions.  You will also receive a free copy of the Puppy Manual for easy reference.

We require that your puppy be with you in your home for two weeks, be seen by your veterinarian, and be current on the vaccination schedule established by your veterinarian before being allowed to join us for a puppy powwow.  Proof of vaccinations are required to join.

3.  Puppy Class –  This is group class that meets once a week for 4 weeks and we will be covering the same information as above but it will involve a higher element of socialization due to the group format.
