We have been looking forward to our Agility and Disc Dog Weekend for some time now, and it is quickly approaching!! Cyndy Douan, an agility and disc dog expert, is being brought in by Unleashed Unlimited to teach all of the curriculum for our event. We could not have asked for a better instructor; she has tons of experience in a wide variety of dog sports, tons of knowledge about dogs, and does similar seminars all over the country.
The main focus of the weekend’s events is going to be agility, Frisbee work, and games! During the seminar, you and your dog will learn a variety of skills related to agility and disc dogs. Even if you dog has never been on any agility equipment, Cyndy will show you and your dog how to maneuver through the obstacles (check out this short video shot at our recent Intro to Agility course). Even if you dog doesn’t currently catch a Frisbee, Cyndy will show you how to build drive in your dog and get them wanting that disc!
The seminar is designed for owners and dogs of all skill levels to learn more about agility and disc dog sports, and have a good time with your dogs! It is open to dogs of all ages and skill levels, not just advanced dogs or graduates, all you need is an off leash recall and you can start teaching your dog new and fun things. The seminar is going to take place at our Leander Training Center during the weekend of October 24th and 25th, with an optional “Bonus Monday” where Cyndy will be available for semi-private training sessions. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and good times will be had by all!!
