Agility Seminar with Cyndy Douan

After an extremely fun and exciting event last year (click here for some pictures) we are proud to announce that Cyndy Douan is returning to Austin to instruct another agility seminar!!

The two day weekend event will be a fun and hands on learning seminar teaching the skills associated with running your dog through an agility course.  Cyndy will cover everything from basic obstacle training to effective handling, motivation, and problem solving.  Once your dog has an understanding of all of the agility equipment, the real fun begins with several agility games that put your dog’s new skills to the test!  It doesn’t matter if you and your dog are brand new to agility or if you have competed before, this seminar will be a blast for you and your dog!

We are extremely excited to have Cyndy Douan return to Unleashed Unlimited again this year to instruct the seminar. Cyndy is the owner of the Georgia Dog Gym and Kingston Kennels near Rome, Georgia. She has been a professional dog trainer for the past 20 years, and she has over 65 titles and awards from competing in obedience, agility, flyball and disc dog events with her dogs.

Not only is Cyndy one of the co-founders of the International Association of Canine Professions, but has held several different positions within the organization, including President, and Cyndy also lends her time to be a judge for the United States Disc Dog Nationals.

Getting a chance to work with Cyndy last year has really shown us the dedication and knowledge it takes to be a top ranked competitor and instructor. We couldn’t have picked a better instructor for this seminar, and we are very lucky to have her!

All of our dogs need some type of “job” and agility is a great way to keep our dogs thinking while having a blast at the same time.  If you have always wanted to find out more about dog agility, this event is for you, Cyndy will help you with the basics and so much more!

The agility seminar will be the weekend of October 9th and 10th (approximately 9am to 5pm each day); this is a bye weekend for the Longhorns!  The event will held at our training center in Leander, TX and breakfast and lunch will be served both days.  All you have to bring is your dog, a comfortable chair, plenty of treats, and a camera to catch all of the good times!
